Cleveland police are seeking the public’s help to identify a male wanted for Impersonating a Police Officer and Grand Theft Motor Vehicle on Tuesday, January 19th.

The female was approached by the man in question when parked on Public Square. The male allegedly showed the female victim a badge, told her that she was illegally parked, asked for her ID and acted as if he was checking her through Radio Dispatch, according to Cleveland police.

The woman told police that the man, while impersonating a police officer, told her to exit the vehicle but to leave her keys and go inside Tower City to get the person she was waiting for.

Police said the female did as instructed and the male drove away in her vehicle.

If you have information regarding this incident, contact investigators at 216-623-5318.
